The Stained Glass Star is the logo quilt on Jinny Beyer's website (www.jinnybeyer.com). She adapted the traditional Rolling Star pattern by dividing each square and diamond in the original block into nine smaller squares and diamonds.

You will piece eight shaded square units, each made up of nine squares; and eight shaded diamond units, each made up of nine diamonds.

The square units are to be shaded as illustrated

Four of the diamond units are to be shaded in a lengthwise manner, as illustrated.

The other four diamond units are to be shaded in a sideways manner, as illustrated.

Lay out the squares and diamonds and arrange them so they are pleasing to you. Then sew the units together.

Add borders as you desire. The logo quilt uses an inner border that is approximately 13/16" wide. The outer border is approximately 4 3/8" wide. Jinny Beyer's border print fabrics work particularly well for this project.
