1. By hand or machine, set in squares (A) and triangles (B) between 8 diamond shaped pieces (C).
2. Sew curved petal pieces (D) to curved sides of diamond shaped pieces (C).
3. Press seam toward concave side.
4. Turn under seam allowance on circle (E) to applique in center of block.
5. Adjust bottom of petals (D), by pleating or gathering, to fit flat under circle (E).
