This template has no notches, so that you are not locked in to a certain angle between spine and feather segment in your designing, but are free to let your own personal style shine through. It is roughed (gritted) on both sides so that it will not slip while in use.
The Comet, because of its unusual shape, makes a unique feather, responsive to curves and flourishes, given to fancy finials. Use it for borders, Prince's Plumes, and fabulous corners.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Draw the spine first.
- Start on left hand side of spine.
- Draw around the comet line to line.
- Fill in the feather segments along both sides by simply placing the template so that it makes a pleasing design.
